WELCOME!! THE VERBS! Chad's newest project, "The Verbs" has just released a new demo. Thanks to the recording studio at WUNH Radio and Mike Novak, the ten song, all original demo is available at all of our shows. The Verbs are a four piece bluegrass band with Chad on acoustic guitar, Mark on mandoin, Rob on upright bass and Heather on fiddle. Chad sings lead most of the time, but you can hear everyones voice on many songs, giving some sweet harmonies. We rock the house with about 75% original shows, and the new songs just keep on coming. Some of our covers are from the Dead, Dylan, John Prine, Bob Marley, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, and even Dr. Dre. You have to hear it to know how fun it is. Please visit www.myspace.com/theverbsverbs to hear some originals, view our full shcedule of dates and events and check out some pics of the band. We are currently shceduled to play a number of great shows, maybe in your town!! Chad A. Verbeck, a singer/songwriter/band leader from Portsmouth, NH has been playing his guitar and writing songs for all of his adult life. He started playing in venues in Colorado, where he formerly resided, until moving back East in 2003, when he began to play the open mic circuit in the North Boston area. He had been playing solo at many North Shore and Coastal NH bars and restauarants for the past year with great success and he released his first solo album in the fall of 2004. He has also just released a solo live album from a show performed at the Worcester Centrum in June, 2005. Chad met Sam Bamford while he was playing at the Grog in Newburyport, and they put together a project called "Bambeck Chasm." Sam is a percussionist from Peabody, MA with a pension for astounding rythms and a personality to beat the band. They released a demo in September of 2005 and have since been playing out together regularly. He recently formed Waywards Chasm, a new and exciting band family with Sam and new friend, Steffanie Hayward. Steff is a singer/songwriter who plays the keys and sings like an angel, and brings an entirely different type of original acoustic music to the mix. Waywards Chasm is currently on an indefinate hiatus for some personal revamping, but Chad is as busy as ever booking solo gigs and occasionally rockin' the Bambeck Chasm with Sammy B! Time Rolls On! Chad and Sam are still playing together on a regular basis, and Chad continues to play solo at many venues all around New England. Chad has been forming a group of his musical friends, including Sam and have been playing around as well. Sean Carmichael, a bassist from Windham, Mark Aleo, a mandolin player from Lowell, Doug Matson, a lead guitarist from Chad's hometown of Amherst, and Artty Raynes, a harmonica player from Amesbury, have been playing regularly in this group. A band name has not yet been decided upon, so the temporary monicer has been "The Chad Verbeck Band." Another of Chad's hometown buddies, Josh Francis, has been occasionally joing the group to add many layers with his astounding drum beats. Venues that have been visited by this wild band of brothers have included, the Blue Mermaid in Portsmouth, the Grog in Newburyport and River City Billiards in Haverhill. Many more shows are scheduled and the boys are in cahoots for practices as we speak. More News!! Chad has compiled a new demo CD that includes some of his studio work with and without the band, and a lot of live music from the past months, recorded at venues like the Grog and some of his live outtakes from the live album's original tracks recorded at the DCU Center in Worcester!
